Our Paediatric Dental Practice was established in 1999 by Dr Eduardo Alcaino. Since then we have been joined by three other specialists. We are supported by a team comprising a Practice Manager, Clinical Assistants, Front Office Coordinators, as well as a team of paediatrican aesthetists. We offer a comprehensive range of services to children and their families. Although our main role involves dental care, ourinterest is child welfare. As such, we are able to organise referrals to medical and allied health specialists to address the needs that children face early in life. Childhood has been identified as the most important period in a person's 'dental life'. We have found that even when children have been to the dentist before, they often do not know what to expect when they come to see us. On the first visit we aim to provide children and parents with information about their dental issues and assess their individual needs. We have many years experience of dedicated child dental care, both in specialist practice and ineducation. Furthermore, we are actively involved in teaching, lecturing andevery year we travel overseas to be able to offer the most up to date knowledge in our field. Hi to All the Young Artists! Firstly, we would like to thank all these wonderful young artists who entered our 2009 x-mas drawing competition. There where 3 prizes to win:
1st prize: Nintendo DSi
2nd prize: $180 ToysRus Gift Vouchers
3rd prize: 4 children and 2 adult Movie Tickets.
Every year we have the difficult task to chose our winner. The brief that had to be met this year was again the experience seen through these young eyes of "A Trip to the Dentist". Our judges selected the winners on two criteria: 1. you had to meet the brief and 2. on drawing talent. We did consider the drawing talent according to their age group and came up with the following winners:
1st Prize: Luca F - age 9
Luca came in personally to pick up his 1st Prize and was congratulated by Dr Alcaino 
2nd Prize: Samantha L - age 9
 3rd Prize: William Z - age 3
