1. Get physical! That’s right you will need to get on all fours if necessary and play with your kids.
2. Don’t plan every breath of their day.
3. Relax together. Some children do not know how to relax. If you let them they will run and run
until they pass out. This is not healthy.
4. Laugh a lot. Be silly. Believe it or not children have stress just like adults and the best way to
alleviate it is to laugh.
5. Praise your child whenever possible.
6. Don’t expect perfection.
7. Feed your child right. A body uses food as fuel. If you fill it with junk food you will find that it
doesn’t run well.
8. Self-Expression. Give your child plenty of opportunities to express himself. Play various types of
music and let him dance or color to it.
9. Teach them independence. Children want to do for themselves. Show them how, just remember
"Common Sense Tip #6".
10. Listen to your child. There is nothing more demeaning than to talk to someone who is paying
less than half attention to you

Dentist Profiles
|
Our Paediatric Dental Practice was established in 1999 by Dr Eduardo Alcaino. Since then we have been joined by three other specialists. We are supported by a team comprising a Practice Manager, Clinical Assistants, Front Office Coordinators, as well as a team of paediatrican aesthetists. We offer a comprehensive range of services to children and their families. Although our main role involves dental care, ourinterest is child welfare. As such, we are able to organise referrals to medical and allied health specialists to address the needs that children face early in life. Childhood has been identified as the most important period in a person's 'dental life'. We have found that even when children have been to the dentist before, they often do not know what to expect when they come to see us. On the first visit we aim to provide children and parents with information about their dental issues and assess their individual needs. We have many years experience of dedicated child dental care, both in specialist practice and ineducation. Furthermore, we are actively involved in teaching, lecturing andevery year we travel overseas to be able to offer the most up to date knowledge in our field.
